Three Partners from Blake, Cassels and Graydon LLP (Blakes) have received lifetime contribution awards from the Canadian Tax Foundation.

The Foundation’s most prestigious honour was awarded to Ed Kroft, Q.C., Janice McCart and Scott Wilkie at its annual conference in Calgary on Sunday. The awards recognize “substantial and outstanding” contributions to the Foundation over the course of a career.

“I am very pleased to see that Janice, Ed and Scott have been recognized for their significant contribution to the Canadian Tax Foundation,” said Jeffrey Trossman, Practice Group Leader for the Blakes Tax group.

“Due to the high calibre of lawyers in the group, our tax practice is recognized as pre-eminent by clients, leading industry publications and the broader tax community. These awards further demonstrate the strength of our team.”

Blakes tax practice was recently ranked in Tier 1 by International Tax Review (ITR) in its recently released World Tax 2017 and World Transfer Pricing 2017 guides. The Blakes Tax group was also recently ranked in Band 1 by Chambers Canada: Canada’s Leading Lawyers for Business.
