Canadian mining companies are expanding globally and operating in jurisdictions where local practices may conflict with international expectations. What risk management and compliance strategies do you have in place? What would you do to address bribery and corruption issues within your organization?

This presentation will address corruption risks and compliance strategies for the mining industry. Our panel will discuss recent developments in anti-corruption law, including recent amendments to the Corruption of Foreign Public Officials Act, recent enforcement proceedings, anti-corruption compliance programs, internal investigations and transactional due diligence.

Please join us and learn how both in-house counsel and outside counsel address these issues. Our panel includes:
• John Vanderbeek, Vice President, Compliance, Kinross Gold Corporation
• Robb Fipp, COO, Veracity Worldwide LLC
• Mark Morrison, Partner, Blakes
• Paul Schabas, Partner, Blakes
• John Wilkin, Partner, Blakes
