Wendy practises in the areas of privacy and information, governance, marketing and advertising, and product regulation.

Wendy advises a wide range of clients on privacy information and governance issues, including clients in the life sciences, financial services, education, retail, food and consumer goods sectors. She provides privacy advice in connection with corporate transactions, outsourcing arrangements, trans-border data flows, cloud computing, and online and offline marketing and advertising activities. She also assists clients with the preparation of privacy policies and consents, including in respect of websites and mobile applications. In addition, Wendy helps clients prepare and respond to freedom of information and access to information requests.

Wendy also practises in the areas of food, drug, cosmetic and medical device law and regulation where she advises clients with respect to licensing requirements, product claims, and packaging and labelling. She also has experience in the area of pest control product regulation and data compensation. Wendy provides advice to innovative pest control product manufacturers in respect of the data compensation regime established by the Pest Control Products Regulations and also advises clients in respect of federal and provincial licensing and registration requirements for pest control products.

In the area of marketing and advertising, Wendy advises clients on Canada’s anti-spam law, the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission’s Do Not Call rules, misleading advertising, and contests and promotions.
