Christine's practice focuses on structured financing and securitization. She has acted on mortgage securitizations, vehicle lease securitizations and various trade receivable securitizations, representing, among others, sellers, conduits, servicers and issuers. Christine also has experience with domestic and cross-border financing transactions, including asset-based financings, project financings and equipment financings, representing lenders and borrowers in secured and unsecured bilateral and syndicated loan structures.
In addition to her transactional practice, Christine also advises clients on compliance with lobbying legislation.
Some of Christine's recent securitization work includes acting for:
- A leading Canadian equipment finance company in the establishment of its C$1-billion securitization platform and the issuance thereunder in November 2015 of approximately C$620.2-million in asset-backed notes
- The Canadian branch of a foreign bank in a C$500-million securitization of secured auto loans and related assets
- MBARC Credit Canada Inc., an indirect wholly owned subsidiary of Daimler AG and a direct wholly owned subsidiary of Mercedes-Benz Financial Services Canada Corporation, on its offering of C$424,200,000 of asset-backed notes
- MCAP Commercial LP in the establishment of its Canadian CMBS program and the debut offering by MCAP CMBS Issuer Corporation of approximately C$213-million in commercial mortgage pass-through certificates
Some other recent transactions Christine has worked on include a C$100-million syndicated senior secured credit facility in favour of a business support systems and software company and an ABL credit facility in favour of a consumer product supplier.
