Sarah's practice focuses on energy regulation, as well as environmental, aboriginal and administrative law. Sarah has appeared and represented clients before the Alberta Court of Queen's Bench, the National Energy Board and the Alberta Surface Rights Board. Sarah has also authored submissions for the Federal Court of Appeal, the Supreme Court of British Columbia, the Alberta Energy Regulator, the Alberta Utilities Commission, and the British Columbia Oil and Gas Appeal Tribunal.

SELECT EXPERIENCE
    Assisting in representing TransCanada PipeLines Limited in its application to the National Energy Board for approval of the Mainline 2015-2030 Settlement

  • Advising pipeline companies in connection with National Energy Board applications to set tolls and tariffs for transmission pipelines

  • Defending a pipeline company in a reconsideration proceeding before the Alberta Energy Regulator
  • Representing transmission line and pipeline companies in compensation-related hearings before the Alberta Surface Rights Board
  • Acting on behalf of a client in an application for summary judgment before the Alberta Court of Queen's Bench
  • Assisting in representing an alternative energy company in a noise complaint proceeding before the Alberta Utilities Commission
  • Assisting with the review of major applications submitted to the National Energy Board and the British Columbia Environmental Assessment Office
  • Served as a judicial law clerk at the Alberta Court of Appeal in Calgary as part of her articling term
