Vanessa is an Articling Student at Blakes. She holds a law degree and a certificate in criminology from the University of Montréal. She also studied sociology and Hispanic Studies at McGill University.

As a Summer Law Student at Blakes, Vanessa was seconded to the legal department of a leading automotive glass replacement, repair and distribution company. She also completed two secondments in a Canadian organization specializing in the development and operations of tourism infrastructure.

Before joining Blakes, she ran her own company and worked in the hospitality industry.

During her studies, Vanessa was vice-president of administrative affairs on the executive committee of the University of Montréal's Law Students' Association. She also represented Canada at the Faculty of Law at Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona, Spain, where she completed a seminar in litigation and employment law as part of a student exchange program.

She volunteers for the Canadian Cancer Society and plays an active role in the artistic and cultural community.

Vanessa is fluent in English and French, and has a working knowledge of Italian and Spanish.
