Cathy returns to Blakes after having summered with the Firm in 2016. She received her J.D. from the University of Victoria. During law school, Cathy acted as the Vice President External for the UVic Business Law Association and tutored first year students through the Amicus Program. She served as a volunteer for Pro Bono Students Canada with the Action Committee of People with Disabilities. In this role, Cathy reviewed the Society's Bylaws and advocated for individuals with disabilities. Cathy also volunteered at the UVic Legal Information Clinic, where she provided assistance to low-income individuals. Cathy received the Blake, Cassels & Graydon LLP Award in Corporate and Commercial law and obtained the highest average in her Contracts, Property and Securities Law courses.

Prior to attending law school, Cathy completed a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting and worked as an accountant for a small business.

In her free time, Cathy enjoys painting, rock climbing and hiking.
