Eric practises with the Tax Controversy & Litigation Group. Prior to joining Blakes in September 2016, he served as a judicial law clerk to the judges of the Tax Court of Canada. He articled with the Federal Court of Appeal, clerking for the Honourable Justice Wyman W. Webb. During his legal studies, he worked as a law student with the Departmental Legal Services Unit in the federal government.

He also co-chaired and coordinated the "The Carter Commission 50 Years Later" Tax Reform Conference at Dalhousie University, with speakers from America, Canada and Asia. He served as assistant coordinator to both the Pro Bono Students Canada (PBSC) "Wills Project" and the PBSC "Tax Court Project".
