Terry's practice focuses on pension law as well as employment and labour law.

He regularly advises employers and pension plan administrators on pension issues related to matters such as plan administration, plan mergers and plan restatements. He has assisted clients in the context of pension litigation, namely in defending against claims arising out of the implementation of a plan of recovery for a multi-employer pension plan. Terry also regularly advises  employers on various employment matters, including regulatory compliance, employment contracts, employment termination, internal investigations, human rights, benefits, occupational health and safety, pay equity, and privacy. He also advises employers on litigious matters and conflicts related to employment issues, as well as on employment, labour and pension matters arising at every stage of a commercial transaction.

Terry has pleaded before courts of justice and various specialized administrative courts and has been involved in files presented to the Supreme Court of Canada and the Court of Appeal of Quebec.

Before joining Blakes, Terry practiced civil, commercial and tax litigation at another national law firm.

He is fluent in English and French.
