Profile
Andrea Vabalis practises in the Business Group. She has a broad corporate and commercial law practice encompassing all forms of structured and corporate finance, in particular, private asset-backed securitization and cross-border equipment. She is also experienced in domestic equipment leasing, mergers, multi-jurisdictional acquisitions, divestitures, debt restructuring and various forms of secured and unsecured financing.
Andrea is the current co-ordinator of the Firm's Infrastructure Group. She has advised on several public-private partnership project bids, and has recently completed a major hospital financing under that structure. She has considerable experience in various aspects of life sciences and health law, including advising medical equipment manufacturers, negotiation of clinical trial agreements, and financing hospitals and patient services.
Andrea also has acted on behalf of insurance companies in share and asset purchases and in their funding and investment activities. As well, she handles general corporate matters for several manufacturing and telecommunications companies. Andrea is a director of a number of Canadian corporations.
