Sabrina's practice focuses on advising clients on a wide variety of international and domestic capital markets transactions, including financings, mergers and acquisitions, and private placements. She also advises clients on corporate governance and securities regulatory matters, including the continuous disclosure obligations of public issuers.

Sabrina was a summer student at Blakes in 2012 and 2013 and articled with the Firm upon graduation. During her articles, she completed a three-month secondment in the legal department of one of the Firm's foreign investment banking clients where she worked on a variety of corporate, securities and compliance matters.

Mergers and Acquisitions

  • Agrium Inc. on its proposed US$38-billion merger of equals with Potash Corporation of Saskatchewan Inc.
  • Element Financial Corporation on its "butterfly" spin-out transaction by way of plan of arrangement pursuant to which Element separated into two new public companies: Element Fleet Management Corp. (TSX:EFN) and ECN Capital Corp. (TSX:ECN)
  • The Chief Executive Officer of Migao Corporation on his acquisition of all of the outstanding common shares in the capital of Migao, not already owned by him

Corporate Finance

  • CI Financial Corp. on its C$200-million public offering of debentures
  • The initial purchasers with respect to a US$1.25-billion cross-border offering of aggregate principal amount of senior unsecured notes of Teck Resources Limited
  • The underwriters in connection with the US$600-million cross-border secondary offering of common shares of Restaurant Brands International Inc. by an affiliate of 3G Capital Partners LP
