Rory's practice is primarily focused on mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and corporate reorganizations. He advises purchasers, vendors and targets on domestic and international transactions as well as on various forms of complex investments and exits. While he provides legal services to a wide range of clients, he routinely acts for private equity funds, pension funds and financial institutions on significant value transactions.

In 2014, Rory completed a secondment in the Amsterdam office of a major international law firm where he worked on a number of multi-jurisdictional merger and acquisition transactions. Rory previously also completed a secondment at a foreign investment bank where he was engaged on a variety of corporate and securities matters.

Prior to joining Blakes, Rory worked in the financial advisory group of one of the big four accounting firms and was principally focused on business valuations, financial analysis and the provision of private transaction services.
