Kate's practice focuses mainly on mergers and acquisitions, acting for institutional clients on investments, and project finance/infrastructure. She has advised clients in numerous industry sectors, including real estate, automotive, energy, health care, insurance, media, the Internet and communications.

Kate has also advised many pension funds and other investor clients on their real estate, infrastructure and fund investments both domestically and internationally.

Kate practised in the Firm's London, England, office for two years, acting for international clients doing or looking to do business in Canada, as well as Canadian companies doing business internationally. Before rejoining Blakes in May 2004, she practised at an international law firm in Paris, France, where most of her time was spent advising on the restructuring of Vivendi Universal S.A.

Kate is from Montréal, Quebec, and is fluent in French.
