Brittiny has a broad civil litigation practice with a focus on complex commercial disputes, and environmental and indigenous law disputes. She has experience representing and providing advice to clients in matters at all levels of court in Ontario, as well as the Federal Court and Federal Court of Appeal, the Alberta Court of Queen’s Bench, and the Supreme Court of Canada.

Brittiny articled with the Firm in 2014/2015, following which she clerked at the Federal Court of Appeal. In law school, she was named to the Dean's Honour List and was editor-in-chief of the Queen's Law Journal.


Recent representative matters include acting as counsel to:

  • Officers of a resource company in a claim by noteholders

  • Various financial institutions in retail banking, fraud, and regulatory disputes

  • A public agency in a procurement contract dispute

  • A First Nation in ongoing litigation against the federal and Ontario governments relating to fiduciary obligations owed by the Crown in respect of management of lands and monies

  • An aggregate company in a six-week Environmental Review Tribunal hearing

  • A First Nation in multiple land disputes

  • A media company in a copyright dispute

  • A newspaper in a successful defamation and jurisdictional dispute at the Supreme Court of Canada

  • A large transportation company in a constitutional tax dispute
