Danielle has a broad-based financial services practice that focuses on domestic and cross-border debt financing transactions, structured finance transactions and acquisition financings. She has experience representing lenders and borrowers in both secured and unsecured financing transactions (bilateral and syndicated loan structures).

Danielle advises sellers and purchasers on public and private securitization transactions involving various asset classes, including auto loans and leases, residential and commercial mortgage loans, credit cards and trade receivables.

She first joined Blakes as a summer law student in 2014 and completed her articles with the Firm in 2015/2016. During her articles, Danielle was seconded to the legal department of one of Canada's leading banks.

  • Aareal Bank AG in connection with a C$716 million syndicated financing for a group of Canadian hotels

  • Lundin Petroleum in connection with a US$100-million reserve-based lending facility with a syndicate of banks led by BNP Paribas, Australia and New Zealand Banking Group (ANZ), BMO Capital Markets and ScotiaBank Europe

  • CWB NL Financial Inc. and NL LP 2 (each a wholly owned subsidiary of Canadian Western bank) in connection with an acquisition lease securitization

  • MCAP RMBS Issuer Corporation in connection with an offering of C$247-million of residential mortgage pass-through certificates sold on a private placement “best efforts” agency basis by a syndicate of agents

  • MCAP RMBS Issuer Corporation in connection with an offering of C$264-million of residential mortgage pass-through certificates sold on a private placement “best efforts” agency basis by a syndicate of agents

  • The Bank of Nova Scotia in connection with senior secured credit facilities in favour of Tahoe Resources Inc.

  • MBarc Credit Canada Inc. in connection with an offering of C$414-million of 2017-A asset-backed notes collateralized by a pool of over 13,000 Canadian retail auto lease contracts and the related new and used vehicles

  • Silver Arrow Canada LP in connection with an offering of C$507-million of 2018-1 asset-backed notes collateralized by a pool of over 18,000 motor vehicle conditional sale contracts and installment sale contracts
