Aideen practises in all areas of domestic and international income tax law and advises on Québec income tax and sales tax matters. Her practice focuses on matters relating to planning and corporate taxation, including structuring and cross-border considerations, SPAs, APAs and LPAs, as well as various debt and hybrid instruments.

Aideen has experience in all stages of dispute resolution with the Canada Revenue Agency and Revenu Québec, including objections, negotiations and settlements. She also has experience in the context of large-scale international transfer pricing audits and submissions before administrative authorities and courts, including the Supreme Court of Canada.

Aideen articled in the Blakes Montreal office, joined as an associate, and has since continued her tax practice in the Vancouver office. Prior to joining Blakes, Aideen worked for one of Canada’s national railway companies in corporate affairs, and subsequently for a large Swiss multinational pharmaceutical company in legal affairs.
