Alana provides regulatory and strategic advice to Canadian and foreign financial institutions and other financial services industry participants. She specializes in insurance and reinsurance, insurance distribution and banking.

Alana regularly advises clients on regulatory, compliance and corporate governance matters including transactions, regulatory approvals and consumer issues. She has significant experience advising with respect to reorganizations, mergers and acquisitions and financings in the financial services sector. She also provides advice on issues relating to FinTech and insurance intermediary licensing across Canada. Alana liaises regularly with federal, provincial and territorial regulators and other industry groups.

Alana has a certificate in risk management from the University of Toronto School of Continuing Studies and a certificate in pension law from Osgoode Hall Law School. She gives prudent advice in a pragmatic manner and takes great pride in being a trusted advisor to her clients.
