Accounts Receivable Administrator
Blake, Cassels & Graydon LLP (Blakes), one of Canada’s largest and most successful law firms, has an immediate opening for an Accounts Receivable Administrator to join the Finance & Accounting department in the Toronto office.
The Accounts Receivable Administrator will be responsible for verifying and completing all receivable transactions in an efficient, accurate and timely manner.
Primary responsibilities of the Accounts Receivable Administrator include, but are not limited to:

Processing and posting cheques, wires and EFT payments

Working closely with Collection Administrators, Legal Assistants, lawyers and clients to investigate payments with insufficient details to be posted

Preparing cheque requisitions for duplicate payments and overpayments

Reporting daily on unapplied payments and large payments received

Liaising with the bank to resolve unidentified credits in the bank accounts

Completing client information forms as required
-
Processing clients fee credits
-
Assisting with bank account reconciliations, including investigating and remediating errors

Other special projects, as required
Qualifications
Education/Experience:
-
Post-secondary education in Accounting or related field
-
Minimum of three years of cash application experience, preferably within a professional services environment
Skills/Abilities:
-
Strong client service orientation combined with excellent communication skills
-
Strong ability to handle and resolve a large volume of client issues in a calm and professional manner

Proficient in Outlook, Word & Excel
-
Experience with CMS (Aderant) is an asset
-
Excellent organizational and time management skills to effectively prioritize and meet deadlines with minimal supervision

Exceptional attention to detail
-
Strong analytic and problem-solving skills
