Counsel, Student Programs & Professional Resources (12- to 14-month Contract)
Blake, Cassels & Graydon LLP (Blakes) is looking for an experienced professional to join the Toronto office as Counsel, Student Programs & Professional Resources. This position is a 12- to 14-month contract, depending on the successful candidate’s availability to start.
We are seeking a lawyer who possesses great people skills and is passionate about recruitment and career development.
Reporting to the Director of Legal Personnel & Professional Development, the Counsel, Student Programs & Professional Resources will be responsible for all aspects of the Toronto office’s student program, including the recruitment, performance management and professional development of law students.

Position Requirements
The ideal candidate will have the following:
- LLB/JD preferably with several years of experience practising in a large firm;
- Demonstrated interest in recruitment and career development; and
- Strong organizational and project management skills, an innovative mindset, an orientation toward and facility with technology, developed leadership skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, discretion in handling sensitive information, the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team across the Firm.
