Jonathan regularly represents clients in patent litigation proceedings, including innovator pharmaceutical companies in Patented Medicines (Notice of Compliance) Regulations (PM(NOC) Regulations) proceedings and in patent impeachment actions. He has appeared before the Federal Court and the Federal Court of Appeal.
Jonathan has also acted as breach counsel to a wide variety of clients affected by a cybersecurity incident, assisting them in complying with statutory and common law privacy obligations.
In patent litigation matters, Jonathan identifies creative solutions for his clients by applying his postgraduate training and research experience in chemistry and biochemistry to issues at the intersection between the law and science. He leverages his knowledge of computer hardware, software and networking to understand the scope of cybersecurity incidents and provide practical advice to clients on mitigating their legal and reputational risks.
