Mackenzie joins Blakes as an Articling Student. She obtained her Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) (with First Class Honours) from the University of Leicester. During her LL.B., she held volunteer positions with the Canadian Law Society’s Mentorship Program and the Pro Bono Society. Mackenzie was also a coordinator for the Sports Law Society. In October 2019, Mackenzie graduated (with Honours) from Osgoode Hall Law School with a Professional Master of Laws (LL.M) in Canadian Common Law.
Mackenzie was a Summer Student at a prominent law firm in Ontario in 2017 and 2018 where she gained experience in corporate and commercial law as well as civil litigation.
Prior to law school, Mackenzie obtained a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Western Ontario. During her undergrad, she completed a semester abroad in Australia and was a varsity athlete for both the Women’s Soccer team and Western’s All Girl Cheerleading team. For the last eight years, Mackenzie has been an active participant of the Annual Terry Fox run and his Marathon of Hope to raise money for cancer research.
In her spare time, she enjoys reading, running and hiking.
