About Mackenzie

Mackenzie's practice focuses on all areas of corporate/commercial litigation and dispute resolution. She has experience in a variety of areas, including civil arbitration and mediation, construction litigation, contractual disputes, and other civil litigation matters.

Select Experience

Representative matters in which Mackenzie has been involved include:

  • Successfully representing a Canadian municipality in a four-week C$125-million private commercial arbitration regarding allegations of unlawful contract termination, delay, disruption and bad faith in the context of a significant public transportation project

  • Successfully representing the defendant in a breach of contract matter before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice involving the interpretation of cancellation notices and allegations of bad faith

  • Co-presenting on the Prompt Payment legislation to the Alberta Branch Business Law Section of the Canadian Bar Association

  • Assisting in the representation of a corporate client with respect to oppression and misappropriation

  • Assisting in the representation of ENMAX Power Corp. in a compensation proceeding before the Alberta Surface Rights Board
