Réal specializes in complex litigation matters involving business, securities, environmental, construction, transportation and competition law, as well as trade regulation, constitutional and administrative law issues. He appears regularly before all levels of courts in Quebec as well as the Federal Court of Canada and various arbitration and administrative tribunals. He has also appeared before the Supreme Court of Canada on numerous occasions.
Réal has particular expertise and interest in competition law. He has acted as counsel to several companies in proceedings initiated by the Commissioner of Competition to prevent mergers, on behalf of clients in criminal proceedings brought under the Competition Act, and he has also represented the Commissioner of Competition in contested merger cases.
