  • Advising on and conducting internal investigations, including assessment of potential regulatory breaches and litigation risk, resolutions and ongoing risk management

  • Defending persons alleged to have committed regulatory offences, including before the Ontario Court of Justice and Ontario Securities Commission

  • Representing procuring agencies in defence of claims by unsuccessful bidders in RFP processes

  • Acting for a party to an arbitration concerning alleged breach of a P3 contract

  • Acting for leading corporations in fraud recovery actions, including obtaining and enforcing Mareva injunctions and certificates of pending litigation

  • Representing a leading corporation in a multimillion-dollar contractual dispute between limited partners concerning informational entitlements and annual distributions

  • Counsel to Torstar Corp. in Grant v. Torstar, in which the Supreme Court of Canada adopted a new defence to libel, public interest responsible communication

Professional Activities

Erin is the Director of the Wilson Moot, which honours Canada's first female Supreme Court Justice. Erin is also an ex officio member of the Board of Family Service Toronto.

She is a member of The Advocates' Society, Ad IDEM/Canadian Media Lawyers Association, and the Canadian and Ontario Bar Associations.
