Representative matters in which Amanda has been involved include:

  • Successfully representing a national consultancy and project management company in dismissing an 18-year old litigation

  • Advising insurer-side parties on coverage disputes involving faulty design and workmanship exclusions, peril exclusions, limitation periods, as well as liability coverage

  • Counsel in an arbitrated dispute amongst energy and joint venture parties valued at approximately C$13-million

  • Successfully representing a multinational industrial instrumentation company at the Alberta Court of Appeal 

  • Counsel to debtor in the successful opposition to the Companies' Creditors Arrangement Act (CCAA) proceedings for Strategic Group properties 

  • Counsel in a proposed class action in the commercial food industry alleging breaches of the Competition Act and various other economic claims

Professional Activities

Amanda is a member of The Law Society of Alberta and the Calgary Bar Association.

Amanda sits on the Executive of the CBA's Alberta South Civil Litigation Subsection and sits on the Board of Directors for the Alberta Animal Rescue Crew Society (AARCS).

Amanda also provides pro bono legal services through the Civil Claims Duty Counsel project and the Queen's Bench Amicus program for unrepresented litigants.
