About Yasmina

Yasmina's practice is primarily focused on mergers and acquisitions, private equity and pension fund investments. In addition to her transactional work, Yasmina advises clients on their corporate and commercial arrangements, including reorganizations and other corporate restructurings, and complex shareholder, joint venture, partnership and other commercial agreements.

Yasmina has completed secondments with a Canadian multi-strategy alternative asset manager and a global food and beverage producer, where she worked on a wide variety of corporate and commercial matters.

Yasmina joined Blakes as a first-year summer student in 2015 and completed her articles with the Firm in 2017/2018. Prior to joining Blakes, she worked at a global investment bank.

  • Maroon Group, a portfolio company of CI Capital, in connection with its acquisition of the assets of Cambrian Chemicals

  • Blue Cross Life Insurance Company of Canada on its assumption reinsurance of British Columbia Life and Casualty Company
