About Jamie

Jamie practises corporate and securities law, with a focus on mergers and acquisitions (M&A), corporate finance and corporate governance.

Jamie advises clients on a wide range of public and private company transactions, including domestic and cross-border M&A transactions, public offerings, private financings and corporate reorganizations. She regularly assists clients in various industries with general corporate and securities law matters, including corporate governance, securities regulatory compliance, stock exchange matters, negotiation of commercial agreements and general corporate law. 

Jamie joined Blakes as a summer student in 2020 and completed her articles with the Firm in 2022.

  • Equinox Gold Corp. in connection with the US$172.5-million bought deal private placement of unsecured convertible senior notes

  • An aviation company in connection with the sale of its manufacturing assets to a US based company

  • The underwriters in connection with the C$135-million public offering of common shares of Eldorado Gold Corporation

  • Neovasc Inc. in connection with its acquisition by Shockwave Medical for approximately US$100-million

  • The underwriters in connection with the C$150-million Initial Public Offering of Lithium Royalty Corp

  • Josemaria Inc. in connection with its C$625-million acquisition by Lundin Mining Corporation

  • Gold Standard Ventures Corp. in connection with its acquisition by Orla Mining Ltd. for C$240-million

  • Sabina Gold & Silver Corp. on its offering of US$95-million of common shares in connection with its financing package of US$520-million financing

  • The underwriters in connection with Aritzia Inc.'s C$70-million secondary offering of subordinate voting shares

  • Mama Earth Organics Inc., a subscription service for organic produce and grocery delivery, on the sale of all of its issued and outstanding shares to Fresh City Farms, Inc., an urban farm and organic online retailer in Ontario, Canada

  • Timber Investments Ltd. on its acquisition of an interest in Columbia Containers Ltd., a container terminal operator in Vancouver, Canada, from Providence Grain Group

  • Various public and private companies in connection with brokered and non-brokered private placements of common shares, flow-through shares, units and warrants
