Jessica joins Blakes as an Articling Student after obtaining her J.D. from the University of Manitoba.
Prior to completing her J.D., she obtained a Hons. Bachelor of Commerce degree with distinction from the University of Manitoba with a double major in finance and marketing. Following her undergraduate degree she worked in telecommunications and then abroad in Australia and New Zealand.
While in law school Jessica volunteered with Pro Bono Students Canada. She was awarded the John R. Haig, Q.C. Memorial Prize for achieving the highest standing in the school’s Advanced Legal Research course and the Insolvency Institute of Canada Prize in Insolvency Studies for achieving the highest standing in the school’s Bankruptcy and Insolvency course.
In her free time Jessica enjoys travelling, volleyball, and scuba diving.
