Alexa returns to Blakes as an articling student after joining the Firm as a summer student in 2019. She obtained her J.D. (with Distinction) from the University of Toronto where she was awarded the Leonard Feigman, Q.C. prize for the highest standing in evidence law. Prior to attending law school, she obtained her B.Com. (with Honours) in accounting from the University of British Columbia.
Throughout law school, Alexa was an executive member of the Business Law Society, serving as co-president in her final year. She also served as an extern to the Board of Directors of the Canadian Civil Liberties Association, assisting with non-profit board governance matters.
Following her second year of law school, Alexa worked for the Dean of the University of Toronto Faculty of Law, Edward Iacobucci, as a corporate law research assistant.
In her spare time, Alexa enjoys cooking, golfing, and running.
