About Saeid

Saeid's practice focuses primarily on corporate/commercial litigation and dispute resolution. He has experience in a variety of areas, including civil arbitration and mediation, contractual disputes, employment litigation, and administrative law. He has experience assisting clients in a range of industries, including banking, construction, oil and gas, infrastructure, and farming.

Saeid has assisted with matters before the Court of King's Bench of Alberta and the Supreme Court of British Columbia.

Select Experience

Recent matters in which Saeid has been involved include:

  • Assisted counsel for Suncor Energy Inc. with C$1-billion acquisition of an additional 21.3% working interest in the Fort Hills Project from Teck Resources Limited (decision reported in 2023 ABKB 59)

  • Assisted in a multimillion-dollar arbitration regarding a construction dispute between a municipality and project consultants

  • Assisted a major investing banking and financial services company in a multimillion-dollar employment litigation

  • Assisting a major energy company in its multibillion-dollar arbitration involving claims in connection with the construction of significant energy infrastructure

  • Assisting a farming company in a multimillion-dollar arbitration concerning contractual disputes

Saeid is a member of the Law Society of Alberta, the Law Society of British Columbia, the Canadian Bar Association, and the Advocates' Society.
