Matthew's practice focuses on litigation and dispute resolution in the corporate and commercial context. He represents clients primarily in the area of commercial litigation.
Matthew has experience litigating a wide variety of business disputes, securing injunctions and other orders protecting his clients' business interests, and conducting internal investigations and due diligence related to bribery, fraud, sanctions compliance, and criminal and regulatory offences. Matthew's recent experience includes, among other things, litigating contract, insurance, environmental, debt, civil fraud, and quasi-criminal matters, as well as dealing with attachment orders and Anton Piller Orders.
Prior to joining Blakes, Matthew completed his articles of clerkship with the Alberta Court of King's Bench in Calgary.
