About Demi

Demi's practice focuses on advising clients on a variety of capital markets transactions, including financings, public offerings and private placements of securities, as well as mergers and acquisitions. She also advises clients on corporate governance and securities regulatory matters, including the continuous disclosure obligations of public issuers.

Demi joined Blakes as a summer student in 2018 and completed her articles with the Firm in 2019/2020.

Mergers and Acquisitions

  • Aviat Networks Inc. on its acquisition of Redline Communications Group Inc., creating a leading company in wireless transport solutions and mission-critical data infrastructure

  • Terra Firma Capital Corporation in connection with its take-private transaction with GM Capital Corp.

Capital Markets

  • Magnet Forensics Inc. in connection with its C$115-million initial public offering of subordinate voting shares and C$74-million secondary offering of subordinate voting shares

  • The underwriters in connection with the C$61-million initial public offering of Propel Holdings Inc.

  • Granite Real Estate Investment Trust and Granite REIT Inc. in connection with its C$288-million public offering of stapled units, C$275-million public offering of stapled units and C$250-million at-the-market equity program

  • Granite Real Estate Investment Trust in connection with Granite REIT Holdings Limited Partnership's green bond offering of C$400-million aggregate principal amount of Series 7 unsecured debentures

  • A Canadian financial institution in connection with public offerings of preferred shares, debentures and senior notes
