Representative matters in which Rachel has been involved include:

  • International anti-corruption risk assessments

  • Internal investigations related to bribery, fraud, insider trading and other securities offences

  • Domestic internal investigations related to corporate criminal negligence

  • International anti-corruption investigations relating to allegations of improper payments to government officials

  • Domestic internal investigations related to potential or alleged Occupational Health and Safety offences

  • Employer-side employment matters, including resolving wrongful and constructive dismissal claims, human rights complaints and employment standards disputes, and reviewing and drafting employment related documentation, including workplace policies, and employment and independent contractor agreements

Professional Activities

Rachel is a member of the Law Society of Alberta, the Calgary Bar Association and the Canadian Bar Association. She provides pro bono legal services through the Queen’s Bench Amicus and the Civil Claims Duty Counsel projects. She also aids and advises non-profit organizations on fraud investigations.

Rachel volunteers with the Trans ID Clinic in Calgary, which provides pro bono legal services to assist trans individuals in updating their name and gender marker on government-issued identification.
