About Stefani

Stefani has a broad civil and commercial litigation practice. She has experience in a variety of areas, including arbitrations, business crimes, contractual disputes, energy litigation and internal investigations.

Stefani has appeared before the Provincial Court of Alberta, the Court of King's Bench of Alberta, the Court of Appeal of Alberta and the Ontario Superior Court of Justice.

While articling at Blakes, Stefani was seconded to two leading energy companies.

Recent matters in which Stefani has been involved include:

  • Conducting internal investigations related to allegations of criminal and regulatory offences

  • Obtaining a Norwich order for an investigation in which an individual was suspected of misappropriating millions of dollars from a company

  • Representing a major municipality in a multimillion-dollar arbitration about a construction dispute related to an infrastructure project

  • Assisting various companies with obtaining and defending against emergency injunctions

  • Representing a chartered bank in defending a conversion action

  • Representing various companies in breach of contract actions

  • Representing chartered banks in defending negligence and unsuitable trading actions

Professional Activities

Stefani volunteers with the Civil Claims Duty Counsel Program and the King's Bench Amicus Program, where she provides pro bono legal services to unrepresented litigants.

Stefani is also a member of the Canadian Bar Association, the Calgary Bar Association, and The Advocates' Society.
