Blakes Wins Canada’s Top Employers for Young People Award

Blake, Cassels & Graydon LLP (Blakes) is honoured to be named one of Canada’s Top Employers for Young People 2021.

Blakes is invested in being an employer of choice for young people and offers a wide variety of robust programs designed for young professionals.

We run the largest law student program in Canada. This year, 92 summer students and 83 articling students were hired from across Canada. Despite the pandemic, the Firm adjusted quickly to the government’s recommended protocols to roll out a very successful virtual recruitment program. This included a wide variety of virtual social and educational events, providing students opportunities to get to know each other and lawyers both within and outside of their practice areas.

The Firm also engages in several internship and co-op placement programs. Each year Blakes recruits more than 100 young people for opportunities to develop their skills and provide hands-on work experience in our dynamic and diverse workspace.

Winners of the Top Employers for Young People award are chosen from across Canada for their efforts to attract and retain younger workers through mentorship and training programs, benefits, career management programs, and initiatives to assist younger workers to advance faster within an organization.
