Blake, Cassels & Graydon LLP (Blakes) is pleased to welcome Andrew Boyd as a Partner in our Tax Controversy & Litigation group. Andrew’s practice focuses on tax litigation and dispute resolution, with extensive experience representing clients before the Tax Court of Canada, the Federal Court of Appeal and provincial courts.
Andrew has acted in matters involving the federal and provincial general anti-avoidance rules (GAARs), transfer pricing, GST disputes and tax compliance issues, and regularly advises on complex tax characterization questions. Andrew has also been involved in landmark cases defining the limits of the Canada Revenue Agency’s audit and reassessment powers.
