TORONTO (February 4, 2019) — Blake, Cassels & Graydon LLP (Blakes), one of Canada’s leading business law firms, is pleased to announce that Hubert T. Lacroix, former president and CEO of CBC/Radio-Canada, has joined Blakes as Strategic Counsel. Mr. Lacroix will work from the Firm’s Montréal office.
After a decade with CBC/Radio-Canada, Mr. Lacroix returns to private practice where he gained over 20 years of experience serving various Quebec Inc., Canadian and international clients, particularly in the areas of governance, securities, and mergers and acquisitions.

At Blakes, Mr. Lacroix will take on the new role of Strategic Counsel and will assist clients with the development of business strategies, governance, long-term planning, and major deals.

Over the course of his career, Mr. Lacroix has served on the boards of numerous companies and non-profit organizations. He is a member of the Quebec Bar since 1977 and holds an MBA from McGill University. Mr. Lacroix was among the first in Canada to obtain the certified designation of ICD.D. from the Institute of Corporate Directors.
