Networks of Power: How to Harness Your Influence as a Professional Woman

April 27, 2022 - 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM

Who has power in your professional environment? Why do they have it? How is the power map different for men and women? How has the pandemic shifted networking for women? Learn the questions to ask and the behaviours to observe to identify the hubs of influence around you. Know your position relative to these behaviours, and master strategies to build successful relationships with clients and colleagues alike, including across geographic and regional borders.

Join Blakes as we host a fascinating interactive discussion on power with Tiziana Casciaro, a Professor of Organizational Behaviour at University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management. Professor Casciaro’s work on organizational networks, power dynamics, change implementation and professional networking has been widely featured in The Economist, Financial Times, The Washington Post, HuffPost, USA Today, Forbes and TIME. She is also a former professor at Harvard Business School.

Her most recent book, Power, for All: How It Really Works and Why It’s Everyone’s Business, has been endorsed by outstanding thought leaders such as renowned organizational psychologist Adam Grant and the founder of the “Me Too” movement, Tarana Burke. Professor Casciaro will draw from years of research and findings to engage participants in a thought-provoking exploration of power, “one of the most misunderstood — and often vilified — concepts in our society,” and an essential energy for everyone to harness to make our lives, work, and societies better.

Please contact Stacey Evans Greenberg for additional information or if you would like to submit a question for Professor Casciaro to address during the webinar. We will try to answer as many questions as possible.
