As the business, technology and regulatory landscape continues to evolve, in-house counsel are increasingly called upon to navigate complex questions of legal ethics and professional responsibility, often in real time and without the benefit of another opinion. Blakes is pleased to once again bring together a panel of in-house counsel and representatives from the Law Society of British Columbia to explore these challenges and share practical perspectives in this interactive session.
Join us for breakfast at our Vancouver office and for a conversation with fellow lawyers about current ethical considerations, emerging risks and practical strategies. Drawing on real-world scenarios, our panellists will discuss topics such as managing conflicts when holding multiple roles across related organizations, maintaining privilege, use and oversight of technology, and balancing professional obligations with competing pressures.
We encourage attendees to participate in the discussion and to submit questions, topics or scenarios in advance.
