Annual Law and Ethics Seminar for In-House Counsel

November 18, 2025 - 8:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m.
As the business world grows increasingly complex, in-house counsel are encountering a rising number of legal ethics challenges. Once again, Blakes is pleased to be bringing together a panel, comprised of in-house counsel and representatives of The Law Society of British Columbia, to discuss these complex issues.

Join us in person at the Blakes Vancouver office for an interactive discussion over breakfast about navigating current ethical issues, risk mitigation and practical solutions. The discussion will focus on issues that in-house counsel and representatives are likely to encounter in their roles, including managing potential conflicts of interest when engaged in multiple roles at the same company and at related companies, properly managing privilege over internal communications and communicating with unrepresented individuals both inside and outside the company.

Attendees will be encouraged to participate in the discussion and are invited to submit suggested topics or scenarios in advance of the presentation.

The session will also be available virtually for anyone unable to attend in person. Please indicate your preferred option in your RSVP.

  • Ashley Baker, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary, Aris Mining Corporation
  • Nadia Rowe, Practice Advisor, The Law Society of British Columbia
