CRM Data Analyst (12-Month Contract)

Blake, Cassels & Graydon LLP (Blakes), one of Canada’s largest and most successful law firms, is looking for a CRM Data Analyst to join the Client Relations & Marketing department to work on the data preparation and migration of our CRM system. This position is a 12-month contract with the possibility of moving to full-time permanent. We welcome applicants from Toronto, Montréal, Calgary and Vancouver to apply for this hybrid role. The Analyst is responsible for conducting data clean-up and remediation of our CRM company and client data. The Analyst will work closely with the Blakes Marketing Technology (MarTech) team, which has overall responsibility for advancing the Firm’s marketing technology stack and contributing to the continuous improvement of marketing operations.

Primary responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to:

CRM Data Quality Management 

  •  Ensure data format consistency, accuracy and integrity of our CRM system so our lawyers and Client Relations & Marketing team can reliably use this information for marketing purposes and business decisions
  • Carry out the day-to-day data management activities, including de-duplication, data standardization, cleansing, enrichment and completeness of client/company/contact records
  • Ensure compliance with CASL and GDPR, and the Firm’s data compliance (information governance) and security policies

Data Migration to New CRM 

  • Conduct data correction, enrichment and completeness activities on the new CRM as per the data migration audit standards
  • Work closely with business stakeholders and technology experts to understand data requirements and ensure data accuracy

Qualifications

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is preferred (e.g., computer science, information systems, data management)
  • Minimum of two to three years of demonstrated experience in data validation, quality and cleansing
  • Experience with CRM/ERM/DQM systems
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and SharePoint
  • Experience with SQL databases is preferred
