About Anna

Anna is an Associate in the Restructuring & Insolvency group at Blakes, one of Canada's leading restructuring practices. Anna brings a thoughtful, proactive approach to her own broad practice. Before joining Blakes, she spent over a decade in digital marketing, working in both the U.S. and Canada.

Anna's ability to bridge legal, technical and strategic perspectives makes her a valued team member in high stakes restructuring matters in and out of court. She tailors her communication to each audience — whether clients, opposing counsel, or the court — drawing on her experience translating complex information into clear, actionable insights on digital channels. She also holds a master's degree in library and information science and previously trained as a librarian, experience that supports her diligence, client responsiveness and commitment to thorough, strategic research.

Some of the cases on the public record that Anna has been involved in include those in which Blakes acted for:

  • The proposal trustee and receiver in the insolvency proceedings of Triple J Pipelines (oil and gas)

  • Red Lobster in its recognition proceedings under the CCAA (food and beverage)

  • The receiver in the receivership proceeding of Antamex (construction)

  • Multiple aircraft lessors in the proposal proceedings of Canada Jetlines (aerospace)

Professional Activities

Anna is a member of the Law Society of Ontario and the Insolvency Law Sections of the Canadian Bar Association and Ontario Bar Association.

She is also a member of the IWIRC (International Women's Insolvency & Restructuring Confederation) and the Turnaround Management Association.
