  • Provided technical advisory and consulting services along with facilitation and project management services to the Nova Scotia Pension Agency, the trustee of the Nova Scotia Public Service Superannuation Plan

  • Served as one of the four advisers to the Ontario Expert Commission on Pensions, which then made recommendations on the Pension Benefits Act (Ontario)

  • Acted as intervenor for ACPM at the Supreme Court of Canada

Professional Activities

Kathryn was appointed to ACPM's National Policy Committee and was as an adviser to the Ontario Expert Commission on Pensions. She is a former vice-chair of the Financial Services Commission of Ontario, the Financial Services Tribunal and the Pension Commission of Ontario. She is also a member of the International Bar Association, the International Pension & Employee Benefits Lawyers Association and the Canadian Bar Association, and was North America regional vice-chair for Lex Mundi.

Kathryn has written on a wide range of topics in the areas of income taxation as well as pension and employee benefits. She has been the co-editor of the Canadian Bar Association Pension and Benefits Newsletter and has taught for a number of years at the Law Society of Ontario's bar admissions and continuing legal education courses.
