Susan has more than 20 years' experience assisting lawyers in the areas of commercial and residential real estate and, to a lesser extent, insolvency.

For the past twelve years Susan has focused on assisting lawyers with various aspects of commercial real estate related transactions including acquisitions, sales, financings, subdivisions and transfers of real estate portfolios due to corporate reorganizations. In this capacity, some of Susan's responsibilities include: conducting due diligence inquiries and preparing summaries of same; reviewing contracts, real property titles and related encumbrances and plans; reviewing commercial leases; preparing and organizing closing documents; coordinating registration of documents; and preparing preliminary and final reports and record books for clients.

Susan has worked on transactions involving the acquisition, sale and financing of shopping centres, office buildings, industrial development properties, hotels, apartment buildings, warehouses, first nation lands and federal lands.
