Tom returns to the Firm as an Articling Student, after summering with Blakes in 2021.
He recently received his JD from the Schulich School of Law at Dalhousie University, with specialization certificates in business law and criminal justice. He has been awarded academic prizes for excellence in secured transactions, international trade law, alternative dispute resolution, professional responsibility, and property law.
Tom has gained valuable experience providing pro bono refugee aid at Spryfield's Atlantic Refugee and Immigrant Services, and through volunteering for the Tenants' Rights Project run by Dalhousie Legal Aid Service.
Prior to law school, Tom earned his bachelor of arts from the University of British Columbia, specializing in English literature. He wrote his honours thesis on Vancouver historical fiction.
