About Thomas
Tom practises civil litigation and dispute resolution. He has experience with complex commercial matters involving tort and contract disputes, class actions, environmental law and Indigenous law. He has assisted on matters before the Supreme Court of British Columbia, the British Columbia Court of Appeal, the Federal Court and various arbitral tribunals.
Tom joined Blakes as a summer student in 2021 and completed his articles with the Firm in 2023. He recently received his JD from the Schulich School of Law at Dalhousie University, with specialization certificates in business law and criminal justice.
Prior to law school, Tom earned his bachelor of arts from the University of British Columbia, specializing in English literature. He wrote his honours thesis on Vancouver historical fiction.
