Alexe's practice covers all aspects of Canadian and international tax law, with a focus on domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, corporate reorganizations, investment funds, tax planning and tax litigation. She also handles dispute resolution with Canadian tax authorities.

Alexe also provides advice with respect to the establishment of fund structures (including private equity and venture capital funds) and investments by and in such funds.

She also advises companies in the medical and recreational cannabis industry on a broad range of regulatory, corporate and commercial matters.

Alexe completed a secondment within the funds team of a Canadian bank. Before joining Blakes, she worked for an investment fund manager.

She is fluent in English and French.
