  • Representing clients in shareholder proceedings involving allegations of oppression

  • Advising clients in the natural resource sector who are consulting, negotiating, and building relationships with First Nations and Métis communities affected by project development

  • Advising clients with respect to environmental and Aboriginal law due diligence in major corporate transactions

  • Advising a mining company on a range of environmental issues during the development of a large-scale mining project, including environmental assessment certificate compliance, remediation and restoration obligations, and wildlife and protected species management

  • Representing clients in claims for defamation and libel

  • Representing clients in claims for clean-up costs associated with contaminated sites

  • Representing clients in various industries in the defence and resolution of regulatory charges

Professional Activities

Rochelle is the chair of the Canadian Bar Association – B.C. Branch (CBABC) Environmental Law Section. She is also a member of the CBABC Civil Litigation, Aboriginal Law, and Young Lawyer Sections, and serves as a CBA mentor to incoming law students. She was previously on the board of the Vancouver Bar Association.
