Pascal recently advised:

  • Desjardins Group on the close of a Series B by Brim, a Canadian next-generation Fintech company and certified credit card issuer. The deal was co-led with US-based EPIC Ventures with strong participation from Canadian and US based investors

  • Investissement Québec in a C$150-million investment in Olymel L.P., a food company, to support its development and strengthen its competitiveness

  • Savaria Corporation in connection with its Canadian financing raised in support of its SEK2.9-billion (C$452-million) cash bid for Handicare Group AB; Savaria raised a total of approximately C$191-million in equity through a combination of a "bought deal" private placement of subscription receipts through a syndicate of underwriters led by National Bank Financial Inc., Desjardins Capital Markets, Scotiabank and TD Securities Inc., and a concurrent non-brokered private placement of subscription receipts with the Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec

  • Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec, Investissement Québec and other participants on their investment in Inovia Capital's C$450-million backing of domestic tech champions

  • Allied Universal Security Services LLC on its US$5.3-billion take-over of G4S plc

  • Desjardins Group on the close of a C$25-million Series B by Brim, a Canadian next-generation fintech company and certified credit card issuer, co-led by U.S.-based EPIC Ventures, with strong participation from Canadian and U.S.-based investors

  • Power Sustainable Capital Inc., a principal shareholder, in connection with the U.S. initial public offering through a special purpose acquisition company of Lion Electric Company, which listed on the NYSE and TSX

  • New Millennium Iron Corp. in connection with the completion of the reorganization of its relationship with TS Global Minerals Holdings Pte. Ltd., Tata Steel Minerals Canada Ltd. and TSMUK LTD

  • New Millennium Iron Corp. on the reverse take-over of Abaxx Technologies Inc., which subsequently started trading on the Neo Exchange Inc. in Canada in December 2020

  • Private Debt Partners Inc. in connection with the formation of a Senior Opportunities Debt Fund

Professional Activities

Pascal is a member of the Canadian Venture Capital Association's (CVCA) Private Capital Model Committee and Fund Formation Model Committee. He was also a member of the Advisory Committee of Quebec's Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF), as well as of Quebec's 2010 Strategic Focus' advisory committee on the next generation of business leaders. He was also president of the Canadian Bar Association’s Securities and M&A Committee (Quebec Division).

Pascal sits on the board of the Fondation du Musée d’art contemporain de Montréal, as well as that of the Canadian Club of Montréal, of which he is also a vice president.
