About Kyle

Kyle is responsible for collaborating with key stakeholders to promote the Firm's internal diversity and inclusion strategy and initiatives.

In this role, Kyle leads the Firm's diversity and inclusion outreach initiatives that are designed to attract students from diverse backgrounds to the practice of business law. As a result of his experience and impact, he is often called upon by our clients to offer insights and feedback on their efforts to build inclusive workplaces.

Before taking on his current role, Kyle was a Staff Lawyer in the Blakes inSource group and completed a secondment with one of the Firm's telecommunications clients. Prior to that, he summered and articled at another large firm in Toronto.

Professional Activities

Kyle is the immediate past president of the Canadian Association of Black Lawyers (CABL), having served on its board since 2017.

He also contributes to the work of the National Association for Law Placement (NALP) as a member of its Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Standing Committee and as the DEI liaison for NALP's Canadian Section.

In the community, Kyle serves on the board of directors of Britannia Woods Community Services, an agency that provides programs for children, youth, and families in low-income neighbourhoods in Ottawa's west end. He is also a member of the Osgoode Hall Law School Alumni Association board of directors, contributing to alumni engagement with the school's activities.

Kyle's commitment to equity in the profession began during law school, where he served as president of the Osgoode Hall Chapter of the Black Law Students' Association and as national articling representative for the Black Law Students' Association of Canada.
