About Anne

Anne is a Partner in the Firm's Litigation & Dispute Resolution group and the Practice Group Leader of the Blakes inSource team.

Anne provides advice to clients on all aspects of electronic discovery and information governance. She advises clients on issues such as document preservation, the management and defensible destruction of documents, legal holds, the identification and collection of documents, the use of technologies such as predicative coding and data analytics, and issues surrounding data privacy when data is moved across borders.

Anne is also the founder and head of Blakes inSource, a division of Blakes that provides an alternative service delivery model to help clients meet their legal needs in innovative and efficient ways. Blakes inSource provides services such as document review, due diligence, commercial contract review and legislative updates to clients.

Anne has managed and led some of the largest and most complex document production cases in Canada.

Select Experience

Recent mandates include:

  • Assisting major North American companies across a broad range of industries to comply with supplemental information requests and Section 11 orders received from the Competition Bureau

  • Working with clients to develop and implement document retention programs and policies

  • Working with multinational clients and U.S. counsel to coordinate document review and production for major North American class actions

Anne is a member of the Sedona Canada Working Group 7, the E-Discovery Implementation Committee of the Ontario Bar Association (OBA), and The Advocates' Society. She is also a member-at-large of the OBA Civil Litigation Section and a co-chair of the E-Discovery Subsection of the OBA Civil Litigation Section.
